Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles through the skin to stimulate certain points in the body and improve the flow and distribution of energy in the body. Several studies have shown that acupuncture and conventional treatment were more effective in reducing pain and relieving symptoms than conventional medicine alone. While it is considered generally safe, talk to your physician about possible side effects such as fatigue, lightheadedness, soreness at the needle site, and worsening your symptoms before you try it.
