Did you know PAA Awards Movement Base Scholarships?
Regular exercise can improve some of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. The PAA awards movement-based scholarships statewide to PD Fight Club, Rock Steady Boxing and Dance for PD. Programs are designed exclusively for Parkinson’s patients regardless of their skill level. These movement-based scholarships allow Parkinson’s clients to take advantage of the benefits of exercise. The movement-based programs address symptom-specific concerns related to balance, cognition, motor skill, depression, and physical confidence. The PAA awards scholarships based upon financial need and availability. Please send an email to executive.director@parkinsonalabama.org for additional information.
