Cycling

Cycling, whether indoors or outdoors has proven to be very helpful exercise for those living with PD. Whether you prefer to take your bike for a spin outside, or hop on your Peloton at home - cycling, also known as spinning has become a popular choice for many to fulfill aerobic activity,

Many YMCAs and other fitness facilities and gyms offer indoor cycling classes, some even titled, "Pedaling for Parkinson's." Participants ride for one hour, which includes a 10-minute warm-up, 40 minutes of pedaling at 80 to 90 rpm, followed by a 10-minute cooldown. Classes are available online or live, in person. Check with your local gyms and fitness centers to see what spin classes may be offered to you locally. To learn more about how you may join a Pedaling for Parkinson's online class, VISIT
