Each year, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Neurology provides an updates so that those giving can best understand how their funds were used throughout the previous year. It is through the generous support from the PAA that clinicians and researchers are able to provide compassionate and expert treatment, develop new therapies, and educate the neurologists and scientists of the future.

Below is an update from 2022 accomplishments, none of which would be possible without the PAA's philanthropic partnership. This report demonstrates the progress that has been made to reach the milestones highlighted in the document below. You can click on the below link for access to the 2022 update and previous years as well.

PAA is Acknowledged by UAB for Generous Support

The Parkinson Association of Alabama received the below letter from Dr. David Standaert, John N. Whitaker Professor and Chair of Neurology. You can read the letter in full below.

The PAA would like to thank everyone who so generously donated to this year's Cocktail Dinner to provide the pre-doctoral scholarship to UAB.

Good Morning!! My name is Justin Simporios from Canada. My daughter was unable to walk for several months after an accident that required her to have surgery. Because I haven't won the Lotto I've been playing for so long, I haven't been able to pay for the surgery. A friend online recommended Lord Meduza to me and he deserves a really, really big THANK YOU. This man chose to help me with a lottery spell and he gave me the precise numbers to play the Canada Lotto Max Lottery. After two weeks, I was proclaimed the winner of $80 MILLION DOLLARS. Now, my daughter will be able to walk once more after so much time as her surgery is now…

I battled Multiple Sclerosis for 6 years, trying countless conventional treatments without success. My younger brother also suffered from Parkinson’s disease for 9 years. Doctors told us there was no cure for either condition. Everything changed when we discovered Dr. Madida Sam through www.earthcureherbalclinic.com. With the help of Dr. Sam, his team, and co-doctors, both my MS and my brother’s Parkinson’s symptoms were completely reversed and cured. We are truly grateful to EarthCure Herbal Clinic for giving us our lives back.

When my husband was diagnosed with dementia four years ago, it was heartbreaking to watch his memory fade and his independence slip away. For over two years, he was on conventional medications, but his symptoms only got worse he became more forgetful, confused, and dependent.Out of desperation and hope, we decided to try a herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly, we were skeptical at first, but within a few months, the changes were remarkable. His clarity improved, he became more alert, and gradually regained confidence and calm. It’s been a life-changing experience not just for him, but for our whole family. If your loved one is struggling with dementia, I truly recommend looking into their natural approach. Visit www.naturepathherbalclinic.com.
